Noise levels in rooms facing the main road need addressing!!! WiFi connectivity issues could use improvement!!! Access challenges for certain rooms pose inconvenience carrying luggage!!!

Couple's charming escape

Had a well appointed Beautiful Apartment with a huge shower that made you feel like royalty. The breakfast was part of the deal and let me tell you it was magnificent, warm and inviting just like the staff who made you feel at home.

It wasn't exactly cheap but you get what you pay for, worth it.

I absolutely loved the unique log burner and cozy decor in my room. The breakfast was tasty and just across the street! Definitely a place I would revisit for sure.

Target audience should expect charm and character

The old place has a vibe that takes you back in time, narrow landings and low beams giving it that old-school charm. Had a lovely pint by the fire, and the food? Top-notch, especially the roast dinner, probably the best I’ve had in ages.

Despite the allure of the historic decor, some areas within the hotel could benefit from more modern updates, as a few rooms felt dated. The absence of a lift makes accessing higher floors somewhat inconvenient, especially for those with mobility issues or lots of luggage to lug up the stairs.

Food was amazing, especially the scallops! The lovely atmosphere really made our stay memorable.

We had a lovely family getaway at The Bear, Cowbridge. The kids were thrilled with the cozy double room, which had a four-poster bed and plenty of space to relax. The staff were exceptionally friendly and made us feel right at home, especially during breakfast across the road, which was delicious and served in a welcoming atmosphere.

Parking was a little tricky to locate.

staying at the bear was such a treat! the little bear handles on the furniture and the bear hook in the bathroom added a fun touch. the shower was heavenly, and the room was flawlessly clean. breakfast was delicious across the road, with super friendly staff to greet us, making our morning perfect.
